Brian joined the Aviation Department of the Phoenix Assurance in 1977. In 1981 the Phoenix merged into LAIG and the following year Brian was appointed Underwriter. In 1991 LAIG became part of BAIG and Brian was appointed Underwriter. His area of responsibility for airlines in Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Australasia and Southern Europe
